I like to keep my beauty blog a positive site.
I tried not to share negative experience on this platform but today I have a strong urge to do so.
For women, usually we will feel happy after making a purchase.
But recently I made an unhappy purchase,
I have to declare that the sales consultant did not force me with a gun to buy the package,
but it is a purchase that I paid unwillingly.

For women, usually we will feel happy after making a purchase.
But recently I made an unhappy purchase,
I have to declare that the sales consultant did not force me with a gun to buy the package,
but it is a purchase that I paid unwillingly.
Here is the story......
I was at Jurong point (SG) when I came across a road show, advertising eyebrow shaping at SG$5.35
As the price was attractive, I went for it.
The sales consultant helped me to shape one of the eyebrow and let me examined it.
Then she asked me whether I want to go for eyebrow embroidery at a cost of $100+
As I was satisfied with the eyebrow shape and I was able to afford the price, I agreed with her suggestion.
Then later, she introduced me the type of eyebrow embroidery the shop has.
From there, came all the persuasion (1 sales person and 1 eyebrow beautician attended me)
They tried to persuade me into signing up for Creative Eyebrow Embroidery package at a price of $2000+ with 1 year unlimited eyebrow colour touch up and 10 times facial.
For that particular eyebrow embroidery, without any package, one time touch up cost $800+
The eyebrow beautician was very persistent (I am not sure whether she was sincerely being considerate or just wanting to get sales. She presented as if she was thinking for me)
In the end, she offered me a price which I was able to afford.
and I signed up for the package…unwillingly.
I took the package is not because I was attracted by the price.
Frankly speaking, my eyebrows are not my concern. If that was my concern, I would not wait until now to give some attention to my eyebrows.
I have my facial package which is wayyyy cheaper than the price the shop can offer.
My inner feeling was,
at the moment I could only choose either the eyebrow embroidery or Creative Eyebrow Embroidery
If I chose the first, I will have to pay $100+ (does not include facial), if I chose the later I will have to pay $2000+ (includes 10 times facial)
At first, after all the persuasion, I insisted on the eyebrow embroidery.
However after further consideration, I started to doubt the embroidery quality (what if I do not like the embroidery,
I will have to endure it for a few years? What if the embroidery caused long term stain on my eyebrow? …etc)
because I did not want to do the eyebrow embroidery or pay $2000+ on the Creative Eyebrow Embroidery hence I accept the package.
Later I recalled the incident; and realised that actually I have the right to stop all the persuasion.
I should have called the manager and walked away with my eyebrow half done.
My conclusion is to raise awareness for such activities (SPA, Gym etc)
If you meet an aggressive consultant, you must take action.
Either call the manager or abruptly walk away
I still have a return trip with the company,.
Hope they are still able to treat me fairly after seeing this post.
